Empty pylons cannot be ejected, and even if they could, they arent even modeled into the flight performance so it doesnt actually produce drag

@@cerealenjoyer3000 there is a setting in the game which drops emptied pylons automatically also gj people mentioned in one of their videos a few years ago that pylons do have drag coefficient and weight though obviously negligible but still all pylons which are used to mount multiple bombs/missiles/rockets can be jettisoned, only single mount pylons can’t be dropped

@@kerotomas1 that setting allows you to automatically eject empty weapon containers. like rocket pods that can carry lots of unguided rockets, once all the rockets are fired, the empty rocket pod will automatically eject

A and B's main difference is related to logistics and electronics. You are correct about B being more manuverable and C having more range

Personal experience is after sticking to defend moves plus chaffs once missile warning comes on (or someone locks you for too long), I rarely got shot down by 120 or any active radar mssl bvr. The biggest thing to watch is how defending puts you at a disadvantage (say force you away from the fight or forcing you too low) and choosing the right moment to fighting back. I still get shot down by them at ~10 km range when they hard lock but it's a different story.

It's profile is more like a scaled up Mig 21, it has a Double Delta wing which is why it can pull so hard. It's much larger than the f104, and it's wings are massive, you just can't tell when looking at it without a reference

@@rubotok3703 oh I know it’s big I just think even with its size it turns way too hard. The ratio of its fuselage to wing size would suggest it cuts through the air more than it grabs it. Planes like the F-15 that have wide body’s and large wing surface areas should grab the air. Planes like the mirage have small fuselages and comparatively large wing surface areas. Both these design types promote planes that when turning grab a lot of air friction, causing them to slow and turn. The mig-21 style isn’t a dart that flies like the F-104, but compared to most other plane designs, it’s certainly the closest. I just feel that at certain speeds, the plane should not be pulling as hard as it does. Once again. I’m not an expert. It’s just my best educated opinion.

@@corybrown2197 Aye the mig 21 was known, partially, for it's surprising manoeuvrability, when it comes to the AOA a plane is capable of, there's a couple factors to take into account, and im no expert either, but i believe it's cause of the Pivot Points, or when your centre of mass is, essentially, if your wings are at the centre of mass or infront of the centre of mass you are less stable but can pull more AOA, for example the Mig 21, the f16, the j8, while planes with their wings behind the centre of mass are more stable but don't turn as well, think mostly bombers like the Vulcan. So the actual fuselage doesn't necessarily matter, but the wings and the placement of the wings does. Canard btw, are basically small wings at the front of the aircraft to make instability to allow more AOA

@@rubotok3703 all true but it had surprising maneuverability in an age where its competition was an F-4. Which is a great plane in its own right. But not exactly a king of maneuvering on the spectrum of plane designs until now.

@@corybrown2197 that does come down to doctrine and aeronautic research tbf, china only really had the Mig 21, Mig 19, Mig 15 and Mig 17 to develop their own designs, and the Mig 21 being the most recent one held the most weight in design philosophy, so the idea of making it a bus for missiles really didn't cross their mind. It was "We have to make a mig 21 but faster and just as maneuverable, by the by they only had early Mig 21s, not the Bis, so they had the lighter and maneuverable ones to work off. The F4 was designed from a completely different philosophy, it was about the future of air combat, the missile, and making an airframe with the most room for carrying those, and the most room for modification for future missiles

I think at really really long range it’s now better than the AMRAAM (because it’s heavier so it has better inertia) but most the time, you never really see those ranges so as of now I believe the AMRAAM is still better. The AAM4 isn’t dogshit anymore though

@@thatoneguy1741 Yeah I would prefer that J10 over another F16, massively so. But that would mean Gaijin couldnt copy/paste something but put real development work in for a new plane. So Im afraid that if they have the choice, they would rather go CTRL C/CTRL V.

Taiwanese here, they should move the F-16 up and slot in F-CK-1, a domestically produced fighter equipped with our own active radar missile the TC-2. It probably performs worse than AMRAAM so it would be fine in lower BR.

The American and Italian ones. The British Harrier still only gets the AIM9Ms

but its 11.7 so its still a better experience

@lonurad1259 I believe you're thinking of the Gr.4 or Gr.4a. They apparently did use the ASRAAM, which I didn't know. That would explain why it's not in the game yet.

You can reliably chaff the aim 120a if you are at 5km range + especially if you are also using terrain

@@alphacentaurivenus8037 with new change, using terrain on most maps is nearly impossible. The only 3 maps I would say it's fairly easy is Afghanistan, Vietnam and Sinai the rest are nearly impossible to stay below 50m. Not to mention, chaff only works for me if missile still didnt lock at me.

Harrier is getting more down tiers at 12.3, you can than slap some premium players

I have both, and I would definitely get the Tornado first. The FA.2 is just too slow in my opinion.
